Quaid-e-Azam Medical College is….

Quaid-e-Azam Medical College is our Alma Mater, and what relates us to each other. Established in 1971 on Baghdad-ul-Jadeed road, the college moved to its present site on circular road due to main reasons. One, the proximity to Bahawal Victoria Hospital that was already present since 1867 as the civil hospital, and renamed to Bahawal Victoria in 1906; and two, the generous grant of land awarded by the hh Nawab of Bahawalpur, on which the medical colony, hostels, grounds the campus and rest of the hospital’s building stands.
The graduates are proudly called Quaidians. Quaid-e-Azam Medical College or QAMC has been affiliated with Punjab University from 1971 to 1978, then with Islamia University until 2002,and with University of Health Sciences since then.
